5 steps to adopt to have healthy hair!

5 gestes à adopter pour avoir des cheveux en santé!

To have beautiful hair, there is no secret: you have to take care of it. Here are some tips to put an end to dry, dull and split hairs.

1 - By the cold, you will end!

In addition to activating the body's blood circulation, there's nothing better than a rinse with ice water to finish your shower. Running the hair with cold water tones the scalp and tightens the scales, which adds shine.

2 - Brushing morning and evening

It is an essential daily gesture to have beautiful hair. Brushing your hair spreads sebum throughout the hair fiber and eliminates dust, pollen, and even pollution. It's important to start at the ends and gradually work your way up to the roots so as not to break hair that tends to get tangled. Avoid brushing wet hair, because when swollen with water, it is weakened. Finally, the choice of your brush is the key to good brushing. We opt for a model made from natural material such as bamboo. We ban plastic ones which make the hair electric and iron ones which break it.

3 - We don't rub, we dab!

It seems trivial, but many of us do the worst thing when we get out of the shower: we vigorously rub our hair with our towel. STOP! You must start by absorbing excess water by gently dabbing your hair. Do not rub them together, this will only open the scales of the hair fiber and activate static electricity. Better yet, opt for a microfiber towel which quickly absorbs moisture and, therefore, limits hair drying time.

4 - The 80 - 20 rule

For healthy hair, you must limit attacks due to heat. Start drying by setting your hairdryer to the lowest temperature. Once the hair is 80% dry, gradually increase the temperature to make blow-drying easier. Always finish with a jet of cold air to close the scales and boost shine.

5 – Choose your silky materials

How much time do you spend in bed? 6, 7, 8 hours a day? A small gesture that will make a big difference is to swap your cotton pillowcase for a silk one. The softer the material, the less static and friction that causes frizz. Vegans can opt for an Egyptian cotton pillowcase. The softer the fabric, the silkier your hair will be. We also recommend replacing elastics with a metal insert and plastic ones with scrunchies. With this type of accessory from the 90s, the elastic is entirely covered in fabric and does not damage the hair.
